Birdman, a fan and team favorite since the second he touched down in Miami, got a chance to talk about why he returned to Miami instead of taking a deal with Cleveland.
First and foremost, Birdman said the Loyalty of the Miami Heat Organization and Fans and his love for the City is why he came back.
He was also asked about LeBron leaving, to which he said “Of course it’s going to be a challenge. But the ultimate goal is to win a championship and we’re still going to be contenders and we’ve got a pretty good team. We’re going to miss LeBron. We’re going to miss him.”
Even though he just turned 36, he doesn’t seen his health as an issue, even after his tough end to the playoffs. “Of course I wasn’t the same. But I stood down there banging and doing what I was supposed to do. I’m healthy, Absolutely, I’m healthy.”
