Dwyane Wade's Rehab ahead of Schedule

Dwyane Wade had no doubt that he would be there for the season opener against Boston on Oct. 30th, but he says that he will in fact start for the Miami Heat this Thursday in a preseason game against Detroit.
Wade sat out the first game against the Atlanta Hawks and made two surprising starts in the NBA China Games, both against the LA Clippers. Wade said that his knee responded well to the two games and the long flight home and was a full participant of the Heat practice on Tuesday.
“I feel ahead of schedule,” Wade said. “If I continue to keep progressing, I’m going to try to play as much as possible but try to be smart as well, I want to play Thursday, get back out there and continue to get my legs under me… so I can be ready for opening night.”

Wade had arthroscopic knee surgery on July 9 after the end of the Championship Season, where he was ailed by the during some of the season and most noticeably, during the Championship run. Dwyane targeted Oct. 30th to return to the court when he started training camp.
“He’s ahead of schedule, and we want to keep him that way,” Coach spo said. ” We’re not trying to rush this or fast-track it. We want it to go at a healthy rate. Last week was very positive. He was able to go every single day and then play in both games. It was the most productive week he’s had. Today, he didn’t miss a turn in practice. He’s getting his timing back. Those are good signs.”
Coach Spo isn’t the only one happy to see DWade out on the court. His team mates are optimistic that he’ll be back to his old self in no time.
“It was good to see him get out there and play like he did, getting dunks, driving baseline and making spin moves, his patent moves,” LeBron James said. “It’s good to see that already with him coming off knee surgery.”
